It would be excellent to visit Kashmir throughout the summertime to fall months of March to October. Its blossoming flowers, bird music, panoramic view of the alpine meadows, and simply watching Srinagar’s Dal Lake come back to life are all worth seeing.

Between April and November, Pahalgam is a great place to go rafting and horseback riding. Come during April and November to play golf. However, if snow is your style and you want to go snowboarding or skiing, visit Gulmarg around December and the first week of March.

Srinagar is the biggest city in Jammu and Kashmir, so there’s much to see and do. There have been no direct trains from any of the major cities to Srinagar. If you truly want to travel by train, you can take a train to Jammu or Udhampur and then take the local DEMU train, bus, or cab to Srinagar.

However, flying to Srinagar is the most convenient option. The Chashma Shahi, Nishat Bagh, and Shalimar Bagh were among the Mughal Gardens visited. The Zabarwan Range’s Chashma Shahi is a lovely one built around a spring. The vista of the Pir Panjal mountain ranges in the foreground, with Nishat Bagh in the foreground, is breathtaking.

This is the second largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley, located near Dal Lake. Shalimar Bagh is India’s largest Mughal garden. If you’re visiting Kashmir, seeing these gardens should be at the forefront, as Jammu and Kashmir is home to some of India’s most beautiful Mughal gardens.

The most convenient way to go to Kashmir’s capital city is to take a taxi or drive yourself, which will cost you Rs. 1,800 and Rs. 2,000, respectively. The world’s most famous Mughal Gardens are also located in Kashmir’s summer capital. This garden was designed by the great Mughal Emperor ‘Shah Jahan.’

After Srinagar you can go to sonmarg by 2 hour drive from Srinagar. This hill station, at an altitude of 9000 feet high thansea level, offers just spectacular vistas of snow-capped mountains framed by pine forests. On our arrival, ‘Sonamarg,’ which translates to ‘Golden Meadows,’ seemed to have transformed into a white-winter-wonderland.

Gulmarg is a must-see destination for everyone. Gulmarg is 60 kilometres from Srinagar, and travelling via this snow-covered route was a visual delight. If the weather cooperates, you could also view Nanga Parbat. You can have a terrific day frolicking in the snow in Gulmarg like kids.

We really appreciated the exhilarating snow sledge rides. The Gondola cables car journey up to the Khilanmarg, with its mesmerising views of the Peer Panjal Range, was also an unforgettable experience. Gulmarg is also known for having the world’s highest golf course and is a popular skiing destination.

Pahalgam is a beautiful, quiet town around 100 kilometres from Srinagar, accessible by a three-hour drive filled with breathtaking scenery. You can stop by Saffron fields and Mattan, a sacred fish temple, along the way. We also went to Awantipora, a 1100-year-old Lord Vishnu temple.

Awantiverma constructed this magnificent ancient temple. Our excursion was made even more memorable by the rugged and rustic scenery, as well as the many gorgeous rice fields. It’s also worth driving through the pine forest. Return to Srinagar after a relaxing day in Pahalgam.
